Electric Vehicle Energy Management System (EVEMS)
The SMP+ is an EVEMS designed to facilitate EV charging in multifamily buildings, particularly in contexts with a shared source.

The little +? It connects to the HUB by RVE to enable multi-level energy management and protect the building’s entire electrical infrastructure.

In Individual mode, the SMP+ enables dynamic energy management by monitoring in real time the consumption of its distribution panel, the charging stations connected to it, and an additional three-phase feeder upstream.
In Connected mode, the SMP+ can communicate with other SMP+ units and HUBs connected to the same electrical infrastructure. In this way, the SMP+ protects both the distribution panel to which it is connected,the additional feeder, andthe building’s electrical infrastructure. Up to 30 SMP+ and/or HUB devices can be connected together, enabling smart management of the building’s entire energy supply.

Install an SMP+ so that you can install multiple charging stations in a multi-unit residential building and one or more of the following situations apply:

The electricity meters of the units are inaccessible from the parking spaces;
The building has a single electricity meter;
Parking spaces are not assigned to specific units.
Standard warranty: valid against defects in the built-in controls for one year from the date of delivery.
Limited to the equipment and components supplied by RVE Inc.
The installer of the panel is responsible for providing after-sales service to the end customer and for on-site visits if necessary.

Billing Options

To bill each user for the electricity they consume on a per-kWh basis, you have two options:

Manually bill each user for their usage using the consumption reports available via the standard Connect portal – Free

RVE Payment Automated Billing – Paid service

  • Monthly charges to the user’s credit card
  • No account, no management required: invoices sent by email
  • No mobile app required
Automated billing via a third party (Upperbee) – Paid service

  • Monthly charges to the user’s credit card
  • No management required
  • Mobile app available for the user (depending on the platform)

Please note that billing by the kWh is made possible by the SMP+’s Measurement Canada certification. However, you must register as an authorized supplier with Measurement Canada.
