With the SMP+, we offer a solution that allows residents of a multifamily building to charge their electric vehicles, even when the power source is shared. It enables charging without penalizing residents who do not own an electric vehicle, nor does it spread the cost of electricity consumption across all users.
RVE’s SMP+ is a smart metering and control system designed to power multiple charging stations from a shared power source. Using an automatic load shedding algorithm, it continuously maximizes the use of available capacity without compromising the stability of the infrastructure.
Accurate and certified billing by the kilowatt-hour
In addition to its energy management capabilities, the SMP+ includes a Measurement Canada-certified metering system that accurately tracks the energy consumption of each charging station. This allows each user to be billed based on their actual electricity consumption, per kWh.
This feature is essential for ensuring accurate, transparent, and compliant billing, while providing complete visibility into energy usage.
Fully automated billing with UpperBee
To further streamline operations, RVE integrates with UpperBee to fully automate the billing process of charging sessions.
Each user’s usage is automatically billed each month and charged directly to their credit card. This automation eliminates the manual tasks involved in data collection, calculations, and payment processing.
For managers who already use UpperBee, this integration offers a tangible benefit, allowing them to integrate EV charging management directly into their existing environment without adding any additional processes or tools.
