An announcement greeted with enthusiasm in the industry
On November 6, RVE announced its first external investments of over $7 million for the development and deployment of electric vehicle (EV) energy management solutions aimed at democratizing access to home charging for EV owners across North America. Christopher Skeete, Minister for the Economy, Minister responsible for the Fight against Racism and Minister responsible for the Laval region, was present at the event, testifying on behalf of the government to the importance of a project like RVE’s in accelerating Quebec’s energy transition. At municipal level, Duvernay-Pont-Viau municipal councillor Christine Poirier represented the Laval mayor’s office in support of RVE, an innovative Laval company.
Several players from the Quebec and Canadian electrical and transportation electrification industries were present, including Propulsion Québec president Michelle Llambias Meunier and Mobilité Électrique Québec CEO Daniel Breton. Representatives from Hydro-Québec, the Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ) and the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) were also in attendance.

Following the announcement, which took place at RVE’s offices, the group moved on to the Quintessence, a condo building in Laval that adopted RVE technologies a few years ago to enable all its co-owners to charge an electric vehicle directly from their dedicated parking space. This project, which demonstrates the usefulness and necessity of RVE’s products, should serve as an example for all multi-residential buildings in North America.
